me? a photographer?

I'm not a professional photographer, but I do love taking pictures of my kids. They both needed portraits done (Little Boy's 4 year portraits and Little Sister's any-age-between-12-months-and-now-since-her-mother-hasn't-had-any-taken portraits) and money is a little tight right now, so I decided to give it a try myself. I'm no Alissa or Misty, but I am very pleased with the way these pictures turned out. Who knows...maybe one of these days I'll buy a good fancy camera and try my hand at photography. I really enjoyed this.

Who needs to pay a $75 sitting fee and then the expense of the pictures? Well done! My theory is if you take enough pictures one or two are bound to turn out good ;]

I love love love the sepia of Little Sister (looking at something in her hand?) and the one of the two of them looking over the water. I think you did a fantastic job!

Great job! I'm seriously contemplating buying Alissa a ticket to SLC to take advantage of her skills.

Why is it that your kids are so dang cute I almost get teary-eyed looking at their pictures?! (dang hormones)
I started out saying "oooh, that's my favorite. wait, THAT'S my favorite" until I was pretty much saying that for every picture. What a gorgeous background you had to work with. And the subjects! How could you go wrong there?!
I LOVE pictures/portraits taken outdoors. Oh, how I wish Alissa were still living 200 feet from me...

These are beautiful. With the exception of one sitting we had at Sears once I always like the pictures we take of Sam best. You got some great portraits there - I especially love the ones of them together.

You did a fantastic job. Did you know that Wal-mart develops 8x10's? I think you should blow up some of those sepia ones and take them into be developed.

I have to put a plug in for another photography site, just because she is one of my favorite people in the world. Go to karaelmore.typepad.com. *my kids are in her children and toddler albums. She has some amazing ideas.

Cute pics. I love taking pics of my kids, though I am far from professional. In the end, I like mine better because I know their personalities better and therefore know what to capture. Anyway, good job with the pics. Your kids are precious.
