"the spinach scare is stupid! we want spinach!"

A printed sign explaining why there wasn't any fresh spinach on shelf at the grocery store was hanging above the former spinach display spot. A person desperately missing his spinach scrawled the above statement on the sign.

What do you think? Is the spinach scare stupid? Do you want your spinach back? Would you buy it if it was back on shelf today?

I don't think it is stupid at all. I'm even scared to cook frozen spinach for my son. Weird, but it freaks me out some.

I don't know, I like spinach, but I'm not willing to die for it. Maybe if an "all clear" message comes out I'll purchase it again, but avoid the stuff in the bags.

We must be shopping in the same place, I saw that sign too as I stopped for some broccoli.

Hello? No. And I heard on the news this morning that they found irrigation water with E Coli in it that was being put on lettuce, so now the lettuce scare starts I guess.

Not stupid at all. I'm petrified of vegetables in general right now which is really sad.

Weird. I could've sworn I heard on tv last week that the spinach scare was over and that the spinach was coming back to the stores. I know I heard it right because the story was also about the farmers who were worried people would continue to not buy the spinach.
