oh say can you see?

Unfortunantly, the answer for Sidney was "No." But we had no idea! Sidney's preschool teacher let me know that Sid was squinting a lot at preschool, especially during storytime and such. We thought Sidney was just being her usual quirky self, but did take her to the eye doctor just in case... Turns out, she couldn't see. But she can now!

Sidney got her glasses just before going to preschool on Thursday and stared around in amazement at the leaves on the trees, the rocks on the ground and everything else around her. "It looks so different mom!" she said. We, of course, feel terrible that she hasn't been able to see well all this time (but know it's not our fault).

Yesterday afternoon, she was playing and said "Hey! There's lines on the tile!" All this time, Sidney didn't know that the tile had grout lines. I figure if that's the height of what she's missed, she'll be okay!

haha! That's funny because I was the exact same way- my parents had no clue how bad my vision was until I was 5. The glasses are VERY COOL Sydney! :)

She's so cute!!! My bil said the same thing when he got glasses... "Hey mom, did you know there were trees on that mountain!"

She'd adorable in them! My Kyleigh has glasses too got them in May. We noticed her eyes crossing alot. one went in and up. So we took her in and sure enough she needed them. when they first put the glasses on her and she looked at me it was like it was the first time she was seeing me.. it was sweet. her rx is +3 so rpretty strong.
I hope she's nicer to her glasses than Kyleigh is. We're on pair 4 of the frames since May, and have to replace the lenses in one pair. We had to get the smallest pair there wasnt many options for us.
